Hi! I come here via Unshelved! I love Girl Genius! Hey, I'm visiting my sister in Seattle this weekend, I wonder if they have it at Uwajimaya? Or is that only originally Japanese graphic novels there?
Anyway, I just wanted to say "hi" and I'm liking your blog. I'm also a transracial adoptive mom, of a wonderful 6 year old girl from China.
Guess what! Bill bought home a copy of v9 for me as a gift from his travels to NYC. I'm 3/4 of the way through it and delighted with the story line, the drawings and the colors.
Okay, so I obviously don't check my gmail often enough -- too many sources of input, arrggh!
But how cool that he brought GG home for you - what a guy! We never got to Uwajimaya anyway, but we'll be back in Seattle for Christmastime and we'll have to stop in there to check and for a few Asian foods we don't find here. Also some geocaching in the plans - and the Harry Potter exhibit you finally got tickets to! Nice to follow (well, sort of) and blog of someone interesting raising kids in Seattle!
