She Changed Her Mind

Last week, the mama that we were matched with for our adoption changed her mind.  She chose to keep her baby, in adoption-speak, chose to parent her baby.

Honestly, our family is thrilled for her.  This was definitely one of those grey area adoptions.  We would much rather give her a million dollars than take her baby if only we had that kind of money to share.

So we're back in the pool, waiting for a new match.

I am happy for that mama, that she feels she has found that she can parent.

I am also sorry for your loss, because it does seem to me that it is a loss, even though it was never a have.

Such a world of mixed emotions.

That was very nice of you...& am glad she decided to keep her child. It is well, the baby that is destined to be yours would surely come.

Thanks everyone. I really cherish your warm thoughts both for me and my family and this mama and hers.
