I do love my civil liberties, and this made me proud of our Constitution and its Amendments. Also, more aware of my rights and how easily they can be eroded away.
We're kind of at a point where people who stand up for themselves in the face of federal (or any other) authority are thought of as troublemakers. Makes me uneasy, from two directions - I don't want to be singled out for special attention, and I don't like the trend of official officiousness, such as TSA and, apparently, customs, that leads to being willing to apply such a label.
Bottom line seems to be: have a good lawyer on standby if you're going to challenge these guys.
